When reviewing the features on the Nokia Lumia 1020, the first and main standout characteristic is the high definition 41 megapixel camera. Yes, you read that right and there is no typo there.

The camera on the brand new Nokia Lumia 1020 has a 41 megapixel camera which is 3-4 times higher than traditional cameras on even the most high tech phones. When looking at this phone as a whole, it is almost more camera than phone. There are several camera apps installed in the phone which let you choose intricate shooting features that you will never find on any regular phone. Measuring in at 5.1 inches in height and 2.8 inches wide, it is a pretty standard size for a phone designed in 2013. The big difference between the Nokia Lumia 1020 and most other phones is the width. The majorit

y of the phone is only .4 inches thick but the camera area protrudes slightly over a half inch from the face of the phone. The thicker area is around 1.75" in diameter. Because of this protrusion, the phone will not lay flat on it's back. This can be good and bad, depending on how you look at it. The good part about it though is that it will tilt towards you for easy viewing as if it is on a stand which can be very helpful. Compared to the chunky S4 Zoom which has comparable camera features, this is a very reasonable size.

There are various colors that this 5.6 ounce phone is available in which includes yellow, white or black. The Lumia 1020 is surely a solid, sturdy phone which is reflected with it's weight. If you are used to a smaller, lighter phone, you will most likely notice the weight difference and bulkiness of the Nokia Lumia 1020 but it is not substantial enough that you will never get use to it.

Camera Features

• The Pro Cam app shoots pictures in 5-megapixels and also saves every image in high-resolution which allows you to crop very tightly, enhancing details and clarity.
• You have the options to shoot in Smart Cam or Pro Cam but your phone will automatically shoot in Pro Cam by default. You have sliding controls for flash, exposure, ISO and focus along with settings.
• Pro Cam is a lens that is a separate camera app which can replace the standard camera. When using Pro Cam, you can only shoot in high resolution.
• The Pro Cam is 34-megapixels and the Pro Cam is 5-megapixels, which totals 41.
• There are no mode presets for night shots, sports, etc so you need to be willing to learn in order to achieve perfection.
